How It Started – A Family Built on Insurance

We have been part of the Hampton Roads community for more than 36 years. The agency was founded by Manuel G. Nofplot Jr., who built it from the ground up on a simple belief – that families and businesses in southeastern Virginia deserved real insurance guidance from people who would pick up the phone, learn their situation, and be there when it mattered most. When his son, Tripp Nofplot, completed the agency’s succession program and took over as owner, that belief did not change. It got stronger. The name on the building changed from father to son, but the commitment to every client remained exactly the same.

Our team holds credentials you will not find at every agency in the area. Tripp holds a Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation. Angela Wells brings more than 31 years of industry experience and holds the AINS, AIS, and LUTCF designations. Danielle Hargrove has been with the agency for 20 years, holds her Property & Casualty and Life licenses, and earned her degree in finance from ODU. Together, our team brings over 80 combined years of insurance experience — and we use every bit of it on behalf of our clients.
